Love a Story?


And mine is very special to me that spans over many years.  I have always loved construction – it is like a blank canvas just waiting for the completed painting.  For years, I have remodeled homes giving them the life that they were screaming for.  Then I did a small studio from the ground up.  It was so rewarding and I learned so much that I decided that I must do a home.  This home would have all the makings only found in a much larger home and would be for a special audience that is always left out.  Where would you find a custom-built home with all the “extras” that is for a couple downsizing, a first-time buyer, a traveling professional – you get the point.  I looked forever and could not find that home as it is always compromised. 


I started knowing that this wonderful home would have my name on it and it would be a home that I would want to live in.  A home built with love.  I did not take on an easy task.  It took 3 years to get the permit to build and another year and a half to build.  YES, just shy of five years and my dream home is completed.  It is possible to have a one bedroom, one bath home that is beyond livable, filled with the best of everything and greets me every time I visit, welcoming me to come and stay. 

MY JOURNEY is like none that I had experienced before.  I took on the challenge of building a beautiful home on a small lot with a steep slope.  A challenge no one wanted to take on.  The lot had remained vacant for over 75 years and it was just waiting for the right builder.  The lot was in the perfect location – a village that is only 20 miles South of San Francisco and seven miles North of Half Moon Bay with Montara Beach just around the corner – not to mention that the San Francisco International Airport is just 20 minutes away. Love it!  With a couple of coffee shops, post office, art gallery and a sandwich shop close by I was ready to dig in – literally.  With plans in hand the excavation started and the foundation was poured.  There were so many steps and so much joy in seeing the home erect out of the ground.  It was truly my jewel of the coast coming to life as I envisioned and I was determined that it would have only the best there was to offer… like none other.


Now the home is completed and anxiously awaiting its new owner.  It is the jewel that I had spent many years creating – it is the home that I would live in.  I spent so much time on all the details and would not do anything differently.  The privacy – low maintenance – safe community – beautiful nature and so much more are a bonus.  Escape to Montara and discover your new lifestyle – it is waiting for you. The Coastside

Welcome to the Coastside of San Mateo County, California!

Whether you are here in person or visiting virtually, you have arrived at a truly remarkable location.  Located at the very heart of the West Coast of the United States, the town of Montara overlooks the beautiful Pacific Ocean and is within a half hour drive of the cosmopolitan and stunningly picturesque city of San Francisco.
